Postal Rates & Methods of Despatch
UK Orders
These are usually despatched within 24 hours of order being processed subject to stock availability as shown on each individual product.
Standard Methods

Orders weighing under 2Kg. Normally despatched by Royal Mail Tracked 48 (aims to deliver within two to three working days).
- £4 per order if the total order value before postage is under £250 at time of despatch.
- FREE if the total order value is over £200 at time of despatch (note orders over £250 are usually despatched by Courier (we use either APC or DPD Local).
- Orders weighing over 2Kg. Normally despatched by our couriers DPD Local.
- £4 per order if the total order value before postage is under £250 at time of despatch.
- FREE if the total order value is over £250 at time of despatch.
The £250 post free offer to UK addresses is applicable to the value of the order at the time of despatch.
Priority Delivery - consignments collected by couriers or Royal Mail Monday - Friday.
Your order will be prioritised over standard delivery orders. Use when delivery is very urgent. Usually delivered next working day. Not available to whole of UK but we can advise at the time of your order. Must be booked before 14:30 each day.

You can arrange for Saturday or Sunday deliveries direct with DPD Local. The options for this are automatically sent to you along with the expected hour window for delivery. You must supply either your email address or mobile phone number to receive this tracking information.
Overseas Orders - USA Only
Due to changing import and tariff charges brought in by the current USA administration we are only able to send parcels to the USA via DHL and these will be "Delivery Duty Unpaid". The changing rules mean that from the 29th August 2025, the $800 Duty free De Minimus threshold has been suspended. The result of this is that all imports to the USA will be subject to a tariff of at least 10%, with a minimum charge of £80 per shipment. Our USA customers should be aware that the import tariff and duty will need to be paid by them prior to the parcel being delivered. You will receive the costs of this direct from DHL and your payment will be made to DHL before they will release your parcel. Please note we have no control whatsoever over the duties imposed by the USA administration.In addition, the information in the next paragraph also applies!
Overseas Orders
These are usually despatched within 24 hours of order being processed (card being debited) subject to stock availability as shown on each individual product. We use Royal Mail from the UK for smaller parcels. All orders are tracked throughout. Orders are sent via Airmail and are usually delivered about a week after despatch but can take longer. There is no cost reduction for surface mail.
Customers not living in the UK (England/Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland) can deduct 1/6th VAT (Value Added Tax) from the total price of the goods.
All customers living outside of the UK are not subject to UK VAT however customers are responsible for paying their own government levies on receipt of goods locally. EU customers please note any item ordered will be shipped "Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU)". This means that shipment cannot be completed until the customer pays the import VAT, any customs duties, and any administration fee first.
If you have already logged-in the prices shown will be with VAT deducted. Sometimes the VAT deduction may not be shown until you reach the checkout stage of your order.
- Orders up to 1 Kilo - £15.00 (USA £60.00)
- Orders between 1 Kilo and 2 Kilos - £30.00 (USA £60.00)
If your order weighs more than 2 kilos we will contact you to discuss the cost of the order.
Generally you should allow 1 kilo for each locomotive ordered.
